Continuous Improvement- December

Every Friday, I write a little “ditty” on my Facebook page. I have been doing it now for a little over six years. I don’t dare miss it. People will send messages, looking for their morning read.

I’d like to post it here because someone told me the whole world needs to read this. Of course, that’s not true…and word press is not the “whole world,” but it’s a small corner of the world that makes me happy.

Merry Christmas to all. Or Merry / Happy (fill in the blank)- Christmas is merely my “jam.”

Friday Rambling…

This week, I’ve seen that the Facebook 2018 compilation videos have come out.

This was a big year for so many: weddings, surgeries, babies, retirement, grand-babies, new relationships, vacations, losing loved ones, job changes, new homes, etc. And some have had more than one big life event.

Of all those listed above, I’ve experienced 4 this year. Admittedly, I rarely take pictures of things I’m doing, places I’m visiting or food I’m about to eat. It just doesn’t occur to me to do that.

The things that we can’t take pictures of…that’s what interests me. Did we become more / less patient this year? Have we been kind to each other? Have we learned to be more selfless, less prideful or spread joy?

Maybe you’ve stopped taking crap from people, learned to stand up for the right stuff. Have you become more honest with others or stopped gossiping? Used your words for positive things? Decided to be more helpful?

If you’re up for it, share below a way that you have changed for the better. What is 2019 going to see from you that 2018 may have missed?

I’ll start- after a few years of much sorrow and difficulty, 2019 is going to see a more joyful me. My spirit has been refreshed in 2018 and I feel like I might be “back.”

Please share with me your 2018 journey to being better. It will give me even more joys to count.

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!! I love you!

  1. These are lovely words. 2018 taught me a lot about my own resilience as I published my first novel, I switched jobs in a complete career change, I’m in the middle of moving house, and my husband has been in hospital, all in the space of the last six months! I’m curious to see what 2019 will bring. 😉

Wishing you a happy Christmas and all the very best for the New Year! I hope it brings you all the joy you hope for and more. xx
